Just a quick look at the real estate market for single family homes here in Trigg County, Kentucky.   All data is from the Western Kentucky Regional MLS as of this morning.

Year to date there have been 31 Single Family (S/F) homes sold in Trigg County.  That compares to 28 sold in the same period last year.

There are currently 20 homes under contract and that number is up from 16 last week.  This data has changed only a little (gone up) in the last 4-6 weeks, which indicates a strong market for homes.

There are currently 119 S/F homes on the market and that number is well below the seasonal summer number which is expected to be around 150 units.  Low inventory is currently a national problem negatively effecting home sales as there are just not enough existing homes to meet demand.

Average Days on Market for Trigg County S/F homes is currently at 186 days, although homes that have sold this year averaged only 164 days on market.

Bottom line - Demand remains strong for single family homes in our area but low inventory will continue to slow the rate of sales.   If this is the year to sell your property, now is the time to get it on the market.   Charlie
