Waterfront Home Owners -  Everyone is probably aware of the problems associated with the 2013 NFIP mapping around Lake Barkley.  Those problems have cause a remapping and the new maps are being prepared for issue.  Before they can be finalized, they must be reviewed by the public.  Below is the announcement regarding the review process.

--REMINDER—

The Preliminary DFIRM Community Coordination (PDCC) Meeting for the Lower Cumberland Watershed flood map update is scheduled for:

Tuesday, November 29, 2016

10:00 A.M. – 11:30 A.M. (Central Time)

Lake Barkley State Park

3500 State Park Road,

Cadiz, KY 42211

The objectives for this meeting are to discuss preliminary regulatory flood hazard products your community received on September 30, 2016 and the process KDOW and your community will follow to finalize those products.  This includes information on communicating flood risk to the public, the appeal period, the Letter of Final Determination, the community compliance period, ordinance adoption, and effective products.

We have created a web map that will allow users to view the preliminary flood hazard data at the following link:  http://arcg.is/29Pknd0.  The web map allows users to search by address, latitude/longitude coordinates, etc. to find their area of interest.  See attached guide for instructions on how to use the web map.

Please contact me or any of the folks on the project team (cc’d on this email) with any questions or concerns.  We look forward to seeing everyone on November 29.

Best regards,
