Well, 2017 left here on a pretty chilly note (7 degrees!) but that chill was not reflected in the real estate market in Trigg county for 2017. According to data from the Western Kentucky Regional MLS there were 182 single family homes sold in Trigg county in 2017. That is up about 13% over the number of sales in 2016. Additionally, the medial sale price jumped from $122K in 2016 to $142,250.00 in 2017! That is about a 14% increase. The Average Days on Market for sold homes was 185 days in 2017 that is down slightly from the 190 days to close in 2016.
The only negative numbers of consequence was the inventory available to sell. As of this writing, on the 10th of January 2018, there are only about 100 single family homes for sale in Trigg County. That number is down from about 160 last summer. If you are considering selling your home this year, now is the time to get it on the market. Buyers are out there looking for homes.
